Reverend Cassandra Fisher is a native of Charlotte, NC and is a graduate of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Reverend Cassandra Fisher is currently the pastor of Matthews Chapel AME Zion Church. She is the first female appointed to this

charge and also the first female to be appointed the pastor of her previous charge,Trinity AME Zion. Rev. Fisher is a member of the NAACP and International Ministers Wives and Widowers Fellowship   

 

Rev. Fisher graduated from Shaw University cum laude with a dual degree in Social Work and Psychology. Rev. Fisher enjoys helping people and she and her husband are the owners of Fisher Daycare.  Her hobbies are exercising, walking, shopping and spending time with the grandkids

 

She is married to Rev. Dr. Lester Fisher, Sr. They have been married for 42 years. Together they have two sons, Lester Fisher Jr. and Rev. Dr. Brandon Fisher. They are the proud grandparents of 4 grandchildren.

 

Her favorite scripture is 1st Corinthians 2:9 “Eyes has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Rev. Fisher has held pastorates at Trinity AME Zion Church, Harrells NC;  Martin Chapel and Saint Rest in Elizabethtown, NC and Tar Heel, NC respectively.  She currently serves as the pastor of Matthews Chapel AME Zion, Laurinburg NC.  Rev. Fisher enjoys pastoring, preaching and serving the people of God.
